Homophobia in sports
Speaker series '17

The Waterboy has done it again! World record holder Robbie Manson, is joined by All Black Tawera Kerr-Barlow to tackle homophobia in sport. Here's a taster of the message we are delivering to New Zealand teenagers. Thanks to Robbie and Tawera for their time and Mana in delivering this message to make a difference.

The Waterboy is raising funds to take our speaker series throughout New Zealand secondary schools.

We organise prominent Kiwis to address students on homophobia in sport with three main objectives:

1. Comfort those who are discovering they are not straight

2. Ensure those students know that sexuality is not a reason to not do sport

3. Let straight students know that derogatory terms make it harder for people to accept their sexuality and you never know who may be homosexual

Funds will be used to organise speaker series, contributing towards set up, travel, speaker's time and filming of speaker series for maximum social impact.
