Meet the people behind The WaterBoy with Lugtons, helping young people take part in sport across our communities.

Contact the team

  • Halle works alongside whānau, schools, clubs and community partners to help young people take part in sport. She coordinates recipient support and programme delivery, helping families work through the next steps and stay connected with the opportunities around them.

  • Hamish works across WaterBoy operations, funding, sponsor relationships and communications. He connects the details behind each opportunity—from recipient support and club costs to sponsor updates—so the team can turn support into time on the field, court or track.

  • Laura helps bring WaterBoy events and community activities together. She works on coordination, supporter communication and local relationships, helping people and organisations get involved in opportunities that connect young people with sport.

  • Fabian is Chief Executive of Te Tamawai Trust, which delivers The WaterBoy with Lugtons and Taku Wairua. He leads the Trust’s work alongside its board and programme teams, connecting organisational direction, community relationships and day-to-day delivery.

  • Murray Wallace

    Chair

    Murray is the founder, owner and director of Blue Wallace Surveyors in Hamilton. He brings business leadership and strategic direction to Te Tamawai Trust and its community programmes.

  • Thomas Nabbs

    Founder & Trustee

    Thomas founded Te Tamawai Trust. He brings knowledge of the Trust’s history and strong community connections to the board, helping keep its work connected to the people and purpose it was built for.

  • Alex Shadbolt

    Trustee

    Alex is a New Zealand Police detective with experience on the Waikato Police Negotiation Team. A University of Waikato law graduate, she previously practised family and employment law. Her community service includes volunteering with Ronald McDonald House Charities and Make-A-Wish.

  • Suzanne Mace

    Trustee

    Suzanne brings more than 25 years of experience as a banking and financial services lawyer in New Zealand and overseas. Her governance experience includes serving as Board Secretary and later Company Secretary for Rabobank New Zealand. She contributes legal, financial and governance knowledge to the Trust.

  • Sagar Rohr

    Trustee

    Sagar is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors with more than 15 years of commercial leadership across food, beverage, manufacturing and export. A former Co-Chair of the New Zealand Beverage Council and EMA Export Advisory Board member, he brings governance experience and networks across Aotearoa and Asia Pacific.
