Dabble Days
Try a sport. Find one you love.
Dabble Days give participants a chance to try several sports in one day, meet local coaches and find an activity they'd like to keep playing.
You don't need to have played before
Coaches and activity leaders explain each activity and help everyone get started. The day gives participants a chance to have a go before deciding whether to join a club.

How the day works
Try
Try an activity
Take part in short sessions and learn the basics with help from the people running them.
Play
Join the games
Put those skills into practice through games and activities suited to the group.
Meet
Meet local clubs
Talk with coaches and activity providers about their sport and how to join.
Keep going
Keep playing
If someone wants to continue, we can help them find the right club or ask about support through WaterBoy.
Who can get involved?
Schools wanting a sport taster day
Holiday programmes looking for active sessions
Clubs and activity providers keen to run a session
Community groups interested in hosting a day
Local partners keen to help bring a day together
Planning a day with your group
We'll work through the activities, venue and timing with you, then confirm what each organisation will provide.
Sessions that suit your group
Plan activities and session lengths around the participants, with an alternative if the weather changes.
Local coaches and clubs
Bring in providers who can introduce their activity and explain how participants can keep taking part.
Practical arrangements
Work through numbers, facilities, volunteers, health and safety, and any kai or dietary requirements. Agree who's responsible for each part before the day.
After the day
Help interested participants connect with clubs and find out about any support they might need.
Ask about a Dabble Day
Tell us about your school, club or group, where you're based and roughly how many participants you expect. Include any dates or activities you have in mind.
If your club would like to run a session, we'd be happy to hear from you too.
