How you can get involved

Apply for support
Need help with fees, gear or getting started? Tell us what you'd like to do and what support would help. You can enquire for yourself or refer someone you know.

Sponsor a recipient
Help a recipient take part in the sport they enjoy. We arrange the support with whānau and providers, and keep you updated.

Host a Dabble Day
Give your school or group a chance to try different sports and meet local clubs. We'll work through the plans with you.
Fees, gear and getting started
Club fees, boots and uniforms can add up. We work with recipients and whānau to understand what's needed and arrange the support available. Wherever possible, we pay the club or supplier directly.

Help with registration fees and club subs for one sport at a time.

Help with the shoes, boots, uniforms and safety gear needed to take part.

Our story
How WaterBoy began
Thomas Nabbs started WaterBoy to help recipients take part in sport when their circumstances made it difficult. That work continues through relationships with whānau, schools, clubs and sponsors.
WaterBoy is part of Te Tamawai Trust and works across the Waikato.
